The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with some background in Environmental Health and Safety and/or quality.
Responsibilities:
Safety Responsible for administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of Pavestone's Safety and Health program at the plant.
Performs new employee training and onboarding as it relates to plant safety Leads weekly plant safety meetings with production personnel Conducts regular inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and protocols Participates in the plant safety committee Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions Maintains safety records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements Stays up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations related to workplace safety Occasionally assists with presentations to review results of plant safety initiatives and incident investigations Quality Performs quality testing on incoming raw materials and finished product as defined by the company quality program Enters testing data into computer system and pulls reports to track the plant's performance against established quality metrics Ensures that all quality control testing is done at the required frequency as defined in the Pavestone Quality Manual Occasionally may be required to lift up to 50 lbs in order to perform certain material density testing Conducts regular audits of the process, yard, and product and enters results in a mobile application Job Qualifications Some related college or technical education is preferred but equivalent work experience will be considered.
Previous experience in a plant as a safety or quality resource is preferred.
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task Must have strong collaboration skills and ability to work well with groups Must have strong analytical problem-solving skills Must have good oral and written communication skills Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus but not required Strong computer knowledge along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Must be able to wear all required PPE (Hard hat, safety glasses, safety footwear, and hearing protection) Job Types:
